Chile has the potential to be a regional leader, but for that, we must develop a strategy that prioritizes talent development, infrastructure, and a solid governance framework," said Luz María García, CEO of the Chilean Association of Information Technology Companies A.G. (ACTI A.G.).


The impact of these technologies is not limited to large organizations; it also represents an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that wish to increase their competitiveness. "Autonomous artificial intelligence, for example, improves operational efficiency and democratizes access to advanced tools, things that were previously exclusive to market-leading corporations," García added.

In the field of quantum computing, the potential applications are vast, ranging from advanced simulations for the development of more efficient materials, such as batteries or renewable energy compounds, to supply chain optimization. However, the adoption of this technology requires a long-term vision and investment in infrastructure and training.


On the other hand, post-quantum cryptography emerges as an urgent response to new cybersecurity vulnerabilities that could arise with the development of advanced technologies. This approach seeks to protect current systems against potential future vulnerabilities, making it essential for organizations to begin analyzing and updating their digital security mechanisms.
